Yvon is heading up to the Academy, and I am going with him. If what he suspects is true, I'll be needed. I should have gone before - I cannot imagine the children there have been dealing well with the deaths and now demons.
My patients can do without me for a few days. Malaspina is not presently dangerous, and the journeymen know what signs would signal a change. Mablin is confused, but not dangerous. I've told the journeymen they have permission to go in the common area, so long as someone is watching. It's a shame Asher is still too delusional to be allowed the same privileges, but it's not like there are any other children around. As for Donal Macmillan - well, I do not expect any changes there.

I hope tonight is quiet. I wasn't the only one to be unsettled by memories prompted by last night's raid, and I've been dealing with the aftermath all day.
Nicodemo Zabini woke up while Yvon and Alessio were in the room with him. I don't believe for an instant that this is a coincidence. Just once I would like to have a patient who does as he's told.
Asher Greengrass is still convinced that the world is whatever he imagines it to be. I don't know what it would take to get through to him; when nothing is real, nothing matters.
Aristotle Moody has no problem with knowing what is real; he is quite certain about that. Which is not to say that he's not hiding things, even from himself. I've no doubt that he will face them eventually, but I don't know how he will handle it when he does.
And of course Yvon. Even being reunited with Alessio isn't enough to get him to stop working. Granted, it's probably best that he did do whatever he did, as he'd only worry himself sick if he wasn't permitted to take care of his family, but he has to accept that even he has limits.

Of my two most problematic young patients, I have the most hope for Bilius Lovegood. He won't listen to me--his father has instilled in him a deep disrespect for women--but he at least will listen to someone. The only problem now is finding the right person; apparently the last time he was here he would talk to Yvon, but Yvon is not only off on sick leave and not supposed to be working, he's also a Malfoy, and I wouldn't want to guess whether Marcus Weasley disliked them more or less than women.
Asher, however, is another matter. I've seen patients who really were half in another plane who had more connection to this one than he has.
Which reminds me, I wonder how Zachary Crabtree is doing at Hogwarts?

It's quiet today, which is good, because it seems half the staff have gone to Alessio's wedding. Including Laurens, and I can only hope he only intends to observe, not contribute. Because, unfortunately, I do believe that something will happen that will appeal to Laurens' sense of humour, and I'm terribly afraid it will mean I'll have to put Yvon back together again.
Damn Alessio. Marriage is more of a commitment than I really expect of him, but I'm hoping for the best, for Valeria and Yvon's sake especially. The worst thing he could possibly do - to both of them - is change his mind a month from now, and I really wouldn't put it past him.
